OCTOBER EVENTS
 
CALLING ALL BOWLERS!
 
St. Peter’s Bowling League begins October 1st, 2017 and runs through April 1st, 2018. We are in the process of forming teams! If you would like to join a team or form your own, please call Keith at 586-727-4663. Teams consist of 4 members and bowling is every other Sunday at Strikers Lanes beginning at 3pm. Cost is $10.25 per bowler and the bowling center will donate 10% to the church at the end of the season. The purpose of the league is for FUN, FELLOWSHIP, & ENJOYMENT?
 
 
POPESCU FAMILY JOURNEY
 
 Please join us for a Walk-a-Thon/Prayer-a-Thon for the Popescu Family on Saturday, October 21st, 2017.  Both Dan (father) and Dylan (son) are battling brain cancer. Come and help this family make this journey a little more manageable. Click on the link below and print the registration form. TRUNK OR TREAT
 
Trunk or Treat will be held Saturday, October 21st in the North parking lot! Worship will be at 6pm (be sure to come in your costume!) and the Trunk or Treat will follow at 7:30pm. Cider and donuts will be served in the gym. Adults, grandparents, uncles and aunts of all ages…please come and hand out candy!
Decorated vehicles are welcome but not necessary.
 
 
POTATO PANCAKE SUPPER
 
Join us for our Potato Pancake Supper on Sunday, October 22nd from 4pm-7pm and help support the CEA! We hope to see you there!
 
 
SEASONS OF LEARNING PIE FUNDRAISER
 
Please help support Seasons of Learning and St. Peter’s Day School by purchasing a
delicious Achatz pie for the upcoming holiday season. Some of the proceeds will go to the KITCHEN FUND at St. Peter’s Church and School as well as EQUIPMENT and
SUPPLIES for the Seasons of Learning Preschool. You may place your pie order at
Seasons or St. Peter’s School office. Pie ordering will start on Monday, October 2nd
& ends Friday the 27thPie delivery will be on Tuesday, November 14th from noon till
2pm in the gym.
**Pie orders must be picked up by 2pm.
There is no storage available for orders**
 
 
 
SHARE THE GIFT CRAFT SHOW
 
St. Peter’s is hosting it’s 20th annual craft show! It will be held on Saturday, October 28th, 9am-3pm. Cost of admission will be $.50 or a canned food item for needy families.
Luncheon: 11am-1:30pm. There will be many handcrafted items along with our Kountry Kitchen and Cookie Walk! We are still looking for crafters to participate! Call to rent your space/table: contact Pat 586-784-6098 OR Wilma 810-392-2528 
 
 
 
REFORMATION SERVICE, SUNDAY OCTOBER 29TH
 
On Sunday, October 29th, we have decided to have a joint service celebration in honor and thanks to God for the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation. The adult choir, youth choirs and other special music is being assembled for this wonderful celebration.

*11:30 am Potluck (We will still have
service Saturday 28th at 6 pm)

on October 29th at 4 pm.
 
 
 
THE LUTHERAN CHORALIERS
 
The Lutheran Choraliers will be in concert at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church located at 8600 27 Mile, Washington, on Sunday, October 29th at 4pm. This benefit concert will celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation as well as offer an opportunity to witness to neighbors and friends. Both secular and spiritual music will be performed and a free will offering will be divided between the Choraliers and the Lisa Meredith family. Lisa was the Choraliers’ former accompanist who succumbed to cancer last year leaving 2 young children. A coffee and cookie reception will follow the concert.
 
 
 
OUR CHURCH HISTORY BOOK
 
Our church history book, “As much as I have earned…” The history of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Richmond, Michigan, will be available
after services on Oct. 28 & 29 and again on Nov. 11 & 12.
Every member should have a copy of this rich history of our congregation. We are suggesting a $6 donation to cover printing costs. Any extra donations will go to the mortgage fund.
